*COVID-19 UPDATE*

Packaging, shipment, + arrival of parcels could take a little longer than estimated. Orders are wrapped and sent off to the post office within 3-5 days of purchasing. I appreciate your patience while awaiting your vessels. Once items are shipped, you will receive a tracking number to your associated order email. (Please contact the post provider with the tracking number if you are concerned about arrival.)

All items are sanitized and packaged with gloves to ensure your safety, but please always wash your wares in soap and water before use.

Care and Use

Unless otherwise specified, all food-centric pieces offered are entirely food safe using food safe clay and lead-free glazes. All pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe. Although, hand-washing is highly recommended for longevity and gentleness.

Pieces are also oven safe as long as the dish is warmed in the oven as it preheats - it not recommended to shock the piece with extreme temperatures (for example, going from a cold fridge to a very hot oven). Do not put vessels over an open flame, they will crack.

Shipping Domestic

Vessels are happily shipped throughout the US at this time using USPS Priority Shipping and UPS via customer’s choice upon checkout. Customers can view shipping rates and options at checkout, which are generated directly from shipping carrier (based on the weight, dimensions and distance of the piece). You will receive an email with the associated tracking number and mail carrier for your order once an order has shipped. If you live locally in San Diego and would like to arrange a pick up of the piece to wave shipping fees*, please send me a message in the ‘Contact’ page to receive a discount code to wave shipping costs.

Note*: current regulations regarding Covid-19 might present a delay in arranging local pickups. We will do our best to accommodate.

*IF YOUR PIECE GETS DAMAGED DURING SHIPPING* Please immediately take photos of everything including: packaging, the box and the piece that is broken. Hang on to the package and any receipts along with it. Please email madeline@earthenhandsceramics.com ASAP to discuss further steps and options. Claims will only be processed within 3 days of receiving the damaged parcel, this is time sensitive and failure to contact me in time will compromise your potential for receiving a refund or replacement piece.

Shipping International

Unfortunately, Earthen Hands Ceramics is unable to ship internationally at this time but is working out logistics on how to ship successfully overseas. Please feel free to email directly if this presents a barrier for you.

Timing

Most pieces listed in the webshop are ‘in stock, ready to ship’ meaning they have already been created and once an order is placed, will ship within 3-5 business days, unless otherwise noted. Please note most pieces at this time are one-of-a-kind and despite certain pieces, there are not multiples of each item in the store. There are a handful of items offered in a ‘made to order’ fashion which means that I create them shortly after the order is placed. As noted, please anticipate up to 6 weeks to receive ‘made to order’ items. You are also welcome to inquire about placing a custom order if you would like to purchase a piece that is unavailable.
